News Person Wanted:
Mason County’s only daily news source, KMAS Radio and Mason County Daily News.com, is looking for a reporter/anchor to add to its news department. This individual should have writing and announcing abilities, understand the use of audio in news, have a basic understanding of government, be available to cover community meetings and events as assigned, and cover breaking news as it happens. Work hours vary with some nights and weekend shifts required. Basic computer knowledge needed (email, Internet, word processing, etc.) Knowledge of digital audio editing, Associated Press and web design a plus. If you have a passion for news, want to keep the community informed, and be creative while working independently, then this is the position for you. Compensation depends on experience.
